Landscapes of Pakistan – Vol 1: Northern Wonders
A visual tribute to the soul-stirring beauty of Pakistan’s North
If portraits reflect the people of a place, landscapes whisper the stories of the land itself.
Before anything else, I was drawn to landscapes. The silence of the mountains. The glow of early morning light dancing across a frozen lake. The way clouds wrap themselves around peaks like scarves. The call of rivers, the mystery of valleys, the raw, untouched grace of places that most people have only seen in dreams.
My third book, “Landscapes of Pakistan – Volume 1: Northern Wonders,” is deeply personal. It’s the beginning of a series that I have been quietly working on for years. This first volume is dedicated entirely to the northern regions of Pakistan, where my love for photography was born and where it continues to be nurtured.
This book is 40 carefully curated pages filled with some of my most cherished landscape photographs—taken across years of exploration, countless solo journeys, unexpected road closures, sleepless nights, and quiet sunrises where it was just me, my camera, and the moment.
From the dramatic peaks of the Karakoram, the peaceful pastures of the Kaghan Valley, to the mirror-like lakes of Gilgit-Baltistan—every image in this book carries a memory. A story. An emotion.
I didn’t create this book just to showcase pretty pictures.
I created it because I want you to feel what I felt while standing there.
To breathe the cold mountain air.
To hear the wind rushing through the pines.
To understand why I keep going back—again and again.
This book is also my love letter to Pakistan’s natural beauty, which, despite being breathtaking, is still largely underrepresented in global narratives. Through this book—and the volumes that will follow—I hope to document, celebrate, and preserve the incredible variety of landscapes that Pakistan has to offer.
What makes this even more special is that this is just the beginning. Volume 1 is focused on the northern wonders, but future volumes will take you to the southern deserts, the coastline, the plains, and hidden gems that often escape the spotlight.
